This means the film should be a practical demonstration of how the meal(s) is (are) prepared. It´s up to the students to choose the actual form of how the film will be made… Radek Dán Project meeting in Bologna (November 10 – 16, 2007) – SummaryThe project meeting in Bologna was a very specific one from various points of view. First of all there were only two schools involved: the organizing Italian school Manfredi – Tanari and the school from the Czech republic Gymnázium Jana Palacha.The Czech group fully enjoyed their time in Bologna as there was a variety of interesting activities we went through . There were lots of things to see and experience in Bologna, some of the points on the schedule were very unconventional indeed - a walking trip up the hill to a church with a patron saint, a picnic in the park, an English class with Italian students, a visit of Monghidoro – a village in the mountains to see perhaps the smallest secondary school we have ever seen, a wonderful trip to Florence, a physical education class with an international volleyball match… We appreciate the hospitality and the creativity of the Italian Comenius team, as this was really something different and it was great! I´m sure all the students, teachers both Czech and Italian and also the parents must have had a wonderful time during this busy week. Not only did we enjoy, we also worked hard on the project. During the two long sessions, we arrived at the following conclusions: We wish everyone no stress before Christmas and let´s enjoy the final year of our common work on a common project! Reports of the Czech students from Bologna 07DAY 1 - Saturday (Jovana)Our first day of trip to Bologna started very optimistically. Our group had a meeting point at airport and fortunately everybody made it on time. The first flight to Munich had a delight. This made everybody a little bit nervous, but at the end everything was fine. Second flight to Bologna was peaceful and calm. I only have one suggestion: the food wasn’t very delicious, but it’s only my opinion JAfter 45 minutes of travelling, we finally arrived to Bologna! Our new families were all waiting for us at the airport. After short familiarization, they drove us to their houses. In the car, my family and me talked about Prague, Czech beer, Juventus, Pavel Nedvěd, Ac Milan and Kaká. And of course, we talked about Italian kitchen, wich I think, is one of the best in the world J When we arrived Mrs. Rita prepared tortellini for me and others (her husband Stefano, daughter Elisa and Elisa’s boyfriend Luca). Those were the best tortellini’s I had in my lifetime J In the evening, all Czech and Italian students had a meeting in centre of Bologna. We bought some take away pizza and ice cream. Then we had a long walk through the old city centre. Though we were all exhausted from travel, we all enjoyed this. When I arrived home I immediately fell asleep. It was the beginning of a beautiful voyage J. DAY 2 – Sunday (Amálka)The weather was beautiful on Sunday. The sun was shining and it was warm like in the summer. In the morning we had a meeting point in Arco del Meloncello. From here we started walking up to Madonna di San Luca church. We had to overcome something over 3.5 km arcaded stairs. But the results of our effort were absolutely perfect. S. Luca is a great and wonderful christian pilgrimage place. The view was beautiful and we could see azure sky and grassy hills. After our visit of the church we slowly walked down the hill. The nature aroud us was fantastic. The autumn coloured trees to yellow, orange and red shades and wild mint smelled everywhere. We sat down on the meadow and had a pleasant picnic.When we ate everything we could we set out for a visit of a Museum of musical instruments in Bologna. The exhibition was very interesting and we were accompanied by a funny guide who was really interested in his subject. He presented many (for us) unknown musical instruments and told us the history of a rich library of musical books. After this exhausting lecture we went to a cozy little cafeteria. From the café we went to Pizzeria Toto for a dinner. There were Italian teachers and students waiting for us. For dinner we had a huge and tasteful pizza and drink for a advantageous price. During the dinner our zebra gave a rise to a new olympic disciplin – wide jump to pizza. She was unfortunately bad in calculation of distance and that was why she landed in a pizza of a couple sitting at the next table. Our zebra was returned back in a good state, but the couple had a bit shocked expression. After the dinner we and Italian students took a bus. On one station some of us got out of the bus. Jovana told us bye-bye and got out too. The bus was prepared to continue in the ride and we suddenly realised that Elisa is still here with us – what was O.K. – but where is Jovana? In the same moment we heard a pounding on the wall of the bus – Luca was trying to stop the driver to enable Jovana to get on the bus again. In spite of this little „adventure“ we got home allright and all of us. DAY 3 – Monday (Robin)On Monday we woke up at 7 am. Our meeting place for this day was in the Italian school. Some students arrived at the meeting place by cars and some by bus. After some hugs and greetings (CIAO), we had two English classes with students from our partner school. In both classes we were talking about our horoscope, hobbies, favourite actors and in the end we were singing a well-known Italian hit Bello e Impossibile, it was very funny. Radek and Misa were singing very feelingly like true Italians. When the two hours were over, we went on a school sight-seeing. We saw the library, chemical laboratory, gym, staff rooms, auditorium, smoking students on the school yard. The school building was very inspirational for our ideas to film and photos, because it was so different from our little homely one. This one was big, edgy like some peripheral, practical modern school.Then our main mission started, first we had some great Italian bread and cakes with café for refreshment. The meeting was very long, difficult but didactic. We were talking about the final products and the topics for the next half year. When the meeting ended we were on the yard, eating the leftovers, talking about the project, taking photos of us and the zebra. And at once someone locked us out. But fortunately one Italian teacher saw us in the last moment. That was our luck. The teacher liberated us and we could go by bus to the city centre to have a guided tour around the city. Before the sight-seeing started, we had some free time. We used this time for a walk in the arcades, licking ice-cream and taking photos with old dirty figurines near the shops. One of these figurines had a broken hand. We took this hand for next use. Then at 3 pm began our sight-seeing of the old centre of Bologna. The weather was beautiful, it was sunny and twelve degrees. We saw everything, the oldest university in the world, a complex of five Romanesque churches called Bolognas Jerusalem, the statue of Galvani, two typical towers, the fifth biggest cathedral in the world. And in the cathedral all of the Italians and all Czechs hugged a pillar of the cathedral like a symbol of united Europe. After this cultural experience Gjp8+zebra became a part of our Italian friends. We went for dinner. Around 10 o’clock we went to our families by bus. Monday was the day of the figurine hand, red and fat Bologna and communication. Ciao!!!!!! DAY 4 – Tuesday (Lucka)On tuesday,it was next day that I woke up in a host family and I felt a little bit homesick,so I didn´t expect such a great day like tuseday was. I dressed up and so on and took the bus.So I got into the bus station with other students from our school.Together we rode by bus up the hills with many sweeps to the small villige Monghidoro in mountains.Everywhere round about us were mountains,so we had really beautiful view.On the spot we visited local school and met students from that school.Later we visited Montghidoro´s major who was very nice and pleasant (and he liked our hand?) .Than we had a typical italian lunch (a remember many pastas),which was delisious.Than we visited an old mill and owner showed us,how it works (there I learned two new worlds?).And finally we visited agriculture museum.Suddenly it was almost evening and we had to ride by bus back to Bologna.And because we weren´t very tired we walked along evening city,it had really nice atmosphere. DAY 5 – Wednesday (Natálka)Like every morning.. wake up, brush the teeth, bus to school. But on Wednesday it was a little bit different, because the bus didn’t come to school but to the railway station for a trip to Florence (a little bit surprise for us). The journey lasted about one hour and we were conversing with our Italian friends. Suddenly we were at the main station in Florence. Outside it was very rainy so we bought umbrellas and became ready for our tour. The first stop was in the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral. This cathedral is very interesting, beautiful and big. It started a discussion not only about architecture but also about religion. Some people had quite controversial opinions but it was even more interesting. The next stop was on the Piazza della Signoria where is a town hall Palazzo Vecchio. In front of this town hall is the very important statue of David by Michelangelo. But David made us hungry so we wanted to find some restaurant for lunch. During our search we came across some very interesting features of this city. Like padlocks which are a symbol of friendship. After the padlocks we found our restaurant. It was the worst mafia restaurant in the city. But we survived the lunch and our Czech group accompanied with two of our most faithful Italian friends was able to continue in our trip. The rest of the Italians went shopping. So we were walking around Florence and it was perfect because the weather changed and became sunny. We were on an oblique square, than we wanted to climb a hill with the most beautiful view of the whole Florence. The way from city was full of surprises like a beaver-otter-muskrat, bicycle in the river, second Florence in the water etc. Some of us were in a little bit sentimental mood. So when we came back to the city some of us visited the cathedral and some of us had to sweeten our life with an ice-cream. Then we had a meeting with our Italians on the main square. Everyone was there. But everyone like drinking a nice strong Italian coffee. We had half an hour for our coffee (we thought). Fortunately the cafeteria was five minutes from station. We were drinking the coffee and then suddenly our prof called out to stop our drinking and run for the train. We had bad information about the departure. But fortunately we made it and went back to Bologna. When we came home everyone went to their beds happy and full of experience.DAY 6 – Thursday (Jana)The schedule for this morning seems very good,especially for our girls´ part of the group, because free time is free time...it means time for shopping-of course:). But before was that it necessary to climb up on the top of the tower called Torre Asinelli. Hundred of steps and dizzy feelings are ended by marvelous view on the city of Bologna, on typical red roofs all around us and somewhere and St.Luca somewhere in the distance. One „necessary“ picture of our full group (we,zebra and hand) and quickly down going shopping for souveniers, clothes, presents, plastic vase and then a big ballpoint pen...And because shopping is very important,responsible and time consuming event,you should not be surprised that some of us were late(of course due to a misunderstanding) at our meeting point which had changed its place two or three times. And because we didn´t want to miss the bus we had to run again. Now across one end of the city to another one.uffff.....The Second point of today´s programme was volleyball mixed match at the school. Not only boys plus girls but Italians plus Czech too. Finally,after limbering-up with local students followed our „challenge“.After first turn was score 1:0 for the team I played with,second 1:1 and 2:1.But I think in fact everyone could feel as a winner because power was staggered and what was all about and what was most important-we had fun and enjoyed the game much. Third point is our last meeting about Comenius project for this year and about future collaboration and partnership between our schools,students and teachers. Fortunately almost everything looks hopefully,so we can look forward to common sports camp etc, perhaps. At the end of day,of our mission ,after hard work and many Iitalian adventures and trips we had a farewell party. It was held in school in friendly circle with teachers and some of italien parents or other relatives who hosted us during all week. Mothers cooked some typical bologense food,cakes and sweets...and there were lot of drinks and fruits...and we drank a lot and ate a lot and spoke together and italien students sang a song for Mr.Dan(Bello,bello impossibie...) to thanks him for everything. They also played song for Míša Konárková – Michelle – by The Beatles (Lorenzo even asked Míša for a dance). Also we watched a presentation made up from pictures from our meetings in Heraklion, Prague, Bologna And time was running fluently and when italien préside (the headmaster) came to say good bye it was almost already done. My „mother“ told me to go, so I went and everyone went away to spent our last night in Italy...so Good night and nice dreaming. DAY 7 – Friday (Míša)Well, what to write, Friday, the ugliest day, the day of departure and of saying good-bye. In the early morning we all gradually gathered in the tiny den, which served as Míša´s place of abode for the week – room 202 in Hotel Giorgio, right in the centre of Bologna. With seven more newcomers it was immediately transformed into a bee’s nest and so we decided to leave and enjoy the last moments out in the open, some of us doing the last minute shopping, some of us just enjoying our last cappuccinos in our favourite bar in the company of the faithful Luca, who decided to skip his morning school and stay with us as long as possible.On our last stroll through the city we witnessed what seemed as a very nice demonstration (iron workers?) serving mortadellla, bread, water and wine and playing music peacefully and innocently at the Piazza Maggiore. In the end, it almost prevented us from catching our plane, as the “protestants” blocked the traffic completely and thus caused our hurried and slightly confused search for an alternative bus station, all that with our weighty luggage… Nevertheless, we made it, checked in, said good-bye to Luca, filmed Radek´s dream from that night presenting him as a linguist specialising in the beauties of Italian English in a brief airport interview, took off, landed in Munich, took off and kissed the Czech soil in the early evening hours. Finita la commedia! Project meetings - next yearSince the Portuguese school will not take part in the project, (or maybe it will, but cannot participate in the project meetings), the project meetings, with respect to our negotiations in Prague will be held in Bologna and Prague respectively.Radek Dán Bad News - the Portuguese school is out of the project for the next yearBad news – The Portuguese school, our partner in the Comenius project is unfortunately not in the project anymore as their application for the following year has been turned down. It is a very bad news for all of us, especially now that we know each other well after the project meeting in Prague.However, both Theresa Florentino and Cristina Arneiro, the coordinators for the Portuguese school,promised immediately after they found out they ´re not in the project for the next year that they would keep to the plan for this year and try to fulfil the aims we set in Prague. They as well offered a possibilty of further future cooperation outside the Comenius project. Radek Dán Prague´s Comenius project meeting reportA Report from the project meeting in Prague, 21st – 27th April 2007At the end of April all schools taking in the project met in Prague for a project meeting that was to be the evaluating one for the second year of the project. The word “all“ is stressed because it was the first time the Portuguese school participants took part in this kind of event, so there were all of us: Italy, Greece, Portugal and of course the Czech republic in the role of the host. Before the meeting we were trying to think a lot about what´s necesary to deal with during the negotiations as well as what could be interesting and stimulating to see and experience. During the three meetings held on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday we went through all the tasks we´ve set so far and both students and teachers took the opportunity to comment on whatever the project involves. All students who were and are taking an active part in the project then presented their works – mostly talking about famous personalities from their countries. The tasks we agreed on were as follows: • Finishing the list of famous personalities within the on line catalogue of the project website • Sending three questions of any kind about the personality – these will be mixed with other questions and Vítek Janda will then create a quiz that will be generating a certain amount of questions made up of the whole list • Taking part in an event linked with the project in any way (an, exhibition, concert, theatre performance…) and thus fulfil the resolution we made in Crete, November 2006 – having a theoretical (website catalogue) and a practical part of the project • Arranging a web conference either between just two schools at a time, or, if it is technically possible, among more schools at the beginning of June • A filmed discussion with students about the project – its sense, activities, problems the students faced and perhaps what can be done to make the project activities and the final products better than they are now. This shopuld be in English, so that we can put it on the website and the partners can see and listen to their fellow project students talking about the project. • We also talked about the next project meeting , but we could not decide about it at that time, as we were not sure whether the Portuguese school will or will not continue in the project in the following year. As for the “fun“ part of the project, we hope all our guests had fun, although sometimes they seemed a bit tired of all the walking through Prague – which us, Czechs consider a usual, everyday routine. We visited the Karlstejn castle, tasted traditional Czech food in a traditional Czech pub and went to Plzen to see the most famous brewery in the world. What we thought to be an original activity was that the Czech students themselves prepared a sightseeing tour of Prague for the guests, and we also had an international match of football and volleyball, which was absolutely fabulous! Just before the end of the meeting we went to a peculiar interactive exhibition of unusual musical instruments and we also had an outside barbecue party where we had time to socialize, teach the guests the tradional Czech dances, have informal discussions about the project or anything else and just…. have some fun. Radek, Vítek, Míša… and the whole bunch of Czech Comenius students Comenius meeting in Heraklion - summaryProject meeting in Heraklion – 10 – 16th November 2006During the project meeting in Heraklion, Crete there was a special atmosphere of friendship and cooperation. Although there were only three of us from the project, as the Spanish school had previously given up for this school year, we kept the main spirit of the project based on friendship and spontaneous communication. This was supported by a perfect organization by the Greek partner, especially the accompanying programme was immensely varied and gave us a number of opportunities to “taste“ o lot from the Cretan culture and lifestyle. During the negotiations, we reached the main goals that were necessary to proceed further in the project: that is • setting the the main goals within the framework of our 2nd years topic • choosing and identifying ourselves with the concrete form of our final products • discussing and emphasizing the necessity of disemination and evaluation • discussing the so far zero participation of the Portuguese school • the project logo • the future of the project – a possible new partner for the project • next project meeting in Prague The main goals are clear – as the topic says “famous personalities“ of our countries and possibly regions, we will be trying to find out about our most significant and interesting ones,choosing the best ways how to present them to the partner countries. Along with this, each partner should of course be focused on watching the other partners´ work to be able to fulfil the main goal – getting acquainted with the famous personalities of the partner countries. The final product will be an on-line catalogue of the personalities that had already been established on our project website. Before the end of the school year it will be printed out as a real catalogue. Another final product should be a report from any visit to any kind of performance (exhibition) related to the above discussed matter. The form of the report is left free to an individual choice of the partners. As for the Portuguese school, we decided to ask directly if they are willing to participate actively in our project and if not, there is no other reason why we should regard the Portuguese school a proper, equal partner. It´s the highest time we decided upon the looks of our new logo – there have already been some promising suggestions from the Czech and the Italian students – there´s going to be an on-line voting poll after all the sugestions from the students have arrived – the deadline for sending them to janda@gjp1.cz or dan@gjp1.cz is 15th January 2007. As the Spanish school has recently withdrawn from the project and the Portuguese are not cooperating we needed to ask ourseves the question “Would 3 countries be enough? Is the project in danger?“ The simple fact is that if the number of countries dropped below 3, there is no other way for the project to go on. So we jointly decided to look for at least one more partner willing to stay with us for a year. The next project meeting in Prague is most probably going to take place within 20 – 27th April 2007 (90%), with a final confirmation that we will be able to give by the end of January. Radek Dán, 28.11.2006 Zprávy z KrétyPostřehy z jednotlivých dnů výpravy a Krétu.Pátek, 10.11.2006 Sandra Piťhová Sraz 9.11., 23:30, Autobusové nádraží Florenc Po nasednutí do autobusu, pětihodinové cestě a shlédnutí American Pie - ani nevím kolikátého dílu - nás "autobusák" vyplivl na letišti v Mnichově asi okolo 4:30 ráno. Byli jsme slisovaní jak paragrafy mezi činely. Tam jsme strávili úmorných pět a půl hodiny čekáním na letadlo, které naštěstí nemělo velké zpoždění! Tři hodiny jsme tvrdli na sedačkách a čekali na to až nám na tabuli naskočí náš let, který odlétal až v 10:30. Si to představte: sedíte "žádnej" obchod "otevřenej" a cizojazyčný časopisy. Konečně jsme se přesunuli do další místnosti na letišti s výhledem na letištní plochu. Kafem, autem Audi a čtyřmetrovým fotbálkem, který některé z nás velmi fascinoval. Po nástupu do letadla jsme se uvelebili na sedadlech v zadní části letadla. A divili se dvěma věcem. Proč je v letadle tolik much a proč jsou zaměstnanci aerolinie tak nafrnění a při jakékoli otázce více nepříjemní?! Let s obědem trval přibližně tří hodiny. Po příletu do Thessaloniki nás překvapil za 1. akcent Řeků a za 2. míra čistoty na letišti. Let z Thessaloniki do Heraklionu jsme měli nahlášen až na sedmou večer tak jsme si, pro ukrácení chvíle (podotýkám dalších pěti hodin), šli posedět do bufetu naproti letišti, kde neznali ani slovo anglicky ani německy, což pro nás byla malilinká komplikace, ale poradili jsme si. Po všech kontrolách jsme se konečně zase uvelebili v o 100 % lepším letadle a o 100 % lepším personálem do sedaček a čekali na povolení ke startu. Naštěstí jsmeznova přistáli bez komplikací. Sice tlak s námi nemocnými (Marianou a mnou) dělal divy, ale neumřeli jsme bolestmi, i když to bylo na hranici únosnosti. Na letišti na nás čekali Řekové s milým příjemným úsměvem a s ochotou nás odvést do hotelu Irini, ve kterém jsme Jana, Mariana a já vyfásly nejlepší výhled na moře, který nám (nebudu jmenovat pana Dána ani pana Jandu) záviděli od té doby, co jsme se ubytovali. Honzíkovi. jsme zase záviděly my velikost jeho balkonu, který byl asi dvakrát větší než náš. Po sprše jsem padla za vlast a p. Janda, p. Dán, Honza, Mariana a Jana šli na večeři našimi kamarády z Itálie. Takto jsem prožila, ve zkratce, celý den tzn. 10.11.2006. P.S. Bližší info osobně nebo se obraťte na mého právního zástupce. S pozdravem Piťhová Sandra (Kréta) _______________________________________________ Sobota, 11.11.2006 John Foustka Po úmorné cestě na Krétu jsem si konečně odpočinul a druhý den, tj. v sobotu, jsem byl plný energie a dychtivý po zážitcích. Po snídani jsme se sešli na recepci našeho hotelu a spolu s Italy jsme vyrazili na sraz s Řeky, který byl nedaleko od hotelu. Po vzájemném představení jsme nastoupili do autobusu, který nás měl zavést do města Chania. V autobuse jsme zůstali další dvě hodiny, a tak jsme měli možnost se poznat navzájem. Povídali jsme si o všem možném, dívali se z okna na krétskou krajinu, učili jsme se slovíčka v jiných jazycích a zabíjeli jsme čas. Když jsme dorazili do Chanie, už dávno pršelo. Běželi jsme se schovat do blízké tržnice, kde jsme se pak zdrželi bezmála další půlhodinu. Na tržnici jsme si prohlíželi zboží levné i dražší, já pak zakoupil od jednoho prodavače deštník, který mi po sléze přišel dosti vhod. Až se všichni setkali, na plánu jsme měli prohlídku města, která vedla skrz uličky a ulice, ale problém bylo, že stále víc a víc pršelo. Autobus nás po sléze měl čekat v přístavu, kam jsme ale nedošli z důvodu vysoké hladiny moře. Ukryli jsme se pod nějakou římsu a začali se fotit. Co jiného může člověk v takovém počasí dělat? Nezbývalo nám nic jiného, než se bohužel vrátit zpátky na tržnici, kde nás měl čekat autobus. Tak jsme vyrazili v mokrých bundách zpět. Mezitím mi natekla do bot voda. Nebylo to zrovna příjemné. Po návratu na tržnici na nás skutečně ten autobus čekal a my rychle naskákali dovnitř do tepla a sucha. Pak jsme jeli na oběd. Přijeli jsme do stylové restaurace, naštěstí už nepršelo. Jídlo již bylo předem domluveno, a tak s námi počítali. Usedli jsme za stoly a čekali. Za chvíli nám začali nosit předkrmy, jeden za druhým, a my jsme se mohli ujíst. Pak přišel na řadu hlavní chod a na závěr samozřejmě také desert. Z jídla zmíním jen dobré maso různých druhů a typické tzatziki. K pití jsme pak dostali sklenici dobrého bílého vína a jinak, co kdo chtěl. Pak, když už měla většina lidí dojedeno, nám Řekové předvedli svou hudební a taneční dovednost a my jsme se, pouze někteří, přidali do tance s nimi. Bylo hezké sledovat tradice jiné země. Moc se nám to všem líbilo. Po vydatném obědě, pro mě i večeři, jsme se zas postupně naskládali do autobusu, který zas omývala voda, stejně jako nás. Už se začalo pomalu stmívat a mi vyrazili zpátky do hotelu. Byli jsme všichni dosti unavení a utahaní z celého dne. Měl jsme radost z nově nabytých zkušeností a těšil jsem se na svůj pokoj, až si dám sprchu, až si lehnu do postele a nakonec, až usnu. Dobrou noc. _______________________________________________ Neděle, 12.11.2006 Jana Branišová Upozorňuji, že všechno, co zde je napsané pochází pouze z mé hlavy, z vlastních pocitů a dojmů. A také doufám, že to co tady práve čtete, není zcenzurováno zasedlými profesory/profesorem. Nebudu nijak konkrétní, ale pan profesor Dán…. Dnešní den je druhým, co trávíme na totmto kouzelném ostrově. Musím říct, že nezačal moc dobře. Nejdřív nás probudil budík s melodíí finské polky (hrůza) a poté následovalo dvojnásobné volání pana prof. Dána, který nám svým „tohle je budíček, holky, uvidíme se na snídaní“ vstávání také nezpříjemnil. Snídaně byla, jak jinak, než velice dobrá, jen jsem si myslela, že když se hodně najím, budu mít dostatek sil zvládnout celodenní chození, myšlení, mluvení atd.…Bohužel. Ačkoliv jsem se velice snažila, nešlo to. Moje nohy se rozhodly, že budou bolet a nenechají mě užít si první meeting, ani prohlídku Knossu. Nevím z čeho by to tak mohlo být, ale možná z mé sportovní abstinence, nebo proto, že jsem se na dnešek moc dobře nevyspala. Budu muset obojí nějak dohnat a to možná co nejdřív. Meeting se konal ve zdejší střední technické škole.Jelikož byl první, mluvilo se (lépe řečeno pan prof. Dán mluvil) hlavně o tématu letošního projektu a nejvíce jsme se zaměřili na práci z naší webovou stránkou. Tyto dvě věci nám zabraly asi tak hodinu a půl, poté jsme byli obdařeni milými suvenýry (učitelé samozřejmě dostali víc, i když nechápu proč, jelikož si to vůbec nezaslouží!!! ) a výbornou svačinou. Tak ještě pár společných fotek před školou a hurá na Knossos. Za normálních podmínek bych se opravdu těšila, ale představa, že budu hodiny bloumat po paláci s mojí neuvěřitelnou bolestí nohou, byla úděsná! I přesto byla však prohlídka velice zajímavá a krásná. Myslím, že jsme se dozvěděli (no, vlastně spíš oni! se dozvědili, protože já jsem ke konci už vážně nestíhala) moc užitečných věcí a udělali nádherné fotky. Poté jsme se přemístili do zdejšího muzea, kde jsme pobyli asi tak hodinku. Byli jsme vůbec poslední návštěvníci tohoto muzea, jelikož se bude bourat a stěhovat do nové budovy. Moc vám nevylíčím jaké ty exponáty vlastně byly, jelikož jsem měla dost práce s tím, přesvědčit moje nohy, aby se nepodlamovaly a ještě chvilku vydržely! Vůbec nechápu, jak jsem se domotala do hotelu. Necítila jsem své tělo od pasu dolů. Jediné, co jsem měla před očima byla postel!!! Nemohla jsem se dočkat, až si lehnu a odpočinu si. Moc dlouho jsme si nepoležela, protože sme dostali celkem velikej hlad a chtěli jsme se jít někam najíst. Chyběla nám akorát Sandra, která pojala svůj úkol se zprávou velice vážně a místo jídla se vrhla na psaní. Našli jsme jednu příjemnou pizzeri, kde sme se najedli a po dobré obědověčeři jsme ještě absolvovali mini procházku městem. Pan profesor Janda a já jsme se těšili, že si užijeme „romantickou“ procházku k moři ve dvou (Mariana nechtěla jít a panu profesorovi číslo 2 byla zima), ale tu nám bohužel pokazil Honza Foustka, ktrerý s námi chtěl za každou cenu jít. No nic, snad příště, pane profesore! Druhý meeting. Katastrofa. Jak jinak to mám říct. Nedokážeme se absolutně domluvit. Jedinej kdo je ochotnej komunikovat jsme my a Italové. Řekové neuměji ani slovo anglicky, mám pocit, jako by to sabotovali!!! Musím z politováním konstatovat, že tento den pro mě moc dobře nezačal a ani neskončil. Možná i z jiných důvodů. _______________________________________________ Pondělí, 13.11.2006 Mariana Sládková Dnešek začal stejně jako ty předchozí, melodií finské polky, telefonátem od pánů profesorů a snídaní. Při dopoledním meetingu,který byl o polovinu kratší,než měl původně být, se jako obvykle slova ujal pan profesor Dán. Většinou se mluvilo o příštím meetingu,který bude na jaře v Praze. Po hodině a půl jsme odešli z hotelu a zamířili dolů k moři. Cestou jsme přišli na to,že chybí Honza a tak se pro něj pan Dán společně s Janou vrátili. Já se Sandrou,panem profesorem Jandou a Italama jsme zašli do přístavu a tam fotili,fotili,fotili a fotili. Řekové se mezitím zasekli v nedaleké kavárně a my se k nim po chvíli vrátili a dali si Ice Coffee. Jana, pan profesor a Honza se pořád neobjevovali. Později vyšlo najevo,že se šli projít sami :o) Dál byla na programu prohlídka místních laboratoří,určených pro sedm Heraklionských středních technických škol.Pro studenty,kteří nás tam potkali,jsme byli dokonalá atrakce. Ukazovali si na nás, pokřikovali,byli jsme téma dne. Mimozemšťani z Itálie a České republiky.V laboratořích jsme viděli počítačové učebny, dílny, klasické třídy, ale především jsme všichni zírali na profi nahrávací studio. Bylo špičkově vybavené, od kamer a mikrofonů, po odzvučněnou místnost a za sklem mixážní pult. Tohle tak mít u nás ve škole…. Večer byl v plánu tradiční večer. S typickou večeří, tanci a živou muzikou, ve staré řecké vesničce, která stará vůbec nebyla, jen byla postavena pro komerční účely. Ale to neměnilo nic na tom, že to bylo moc pěkné. To je asi tak všechno, co o té vesnici vím, že byla pěkná. Protože díky jednomu strašně nebezpečnému deštníku, který si dělal co chtěl a otvíral se podle vlastní vůle a neustále vystřeloval, jsem já, Jana,Sandra a později i Honza,měli co dělat,abychom se nesmáli. Staff (Kréťan) dokonce řekl Sandře, že když se přestane smát, tak jí koupí nový deštník. Wow. Kdo tam nebyl, nepochopí :o)))))) Po prohlídce jsme si připili typickou řeckou Rakií (přirovnala bych to k české slivovici). Potom jsme se posadili ke stolům a začala klasická řecká večeře o asi padesáti chodech, včetně šneků, kteří byli ještě v ulitě a já se Sandrou jsme je fakt daly. Šílený. Celý večer provázeli tanečníci v řeckých krojích, kteří byli FANTASTICKÝ - fakt váleli a my se k nim mohli přidat. Všichni z naší české delegace to vyzkoušeli a bylo to bezvadný! Celý večer se hodně jedlo a ke konci už byly někteří unavení.. Někdy kolem půlnoci jsme se sebrali a jeli domů. Tenhle večer považuju za nejlepší z celého týdne! SUPER !!! _______________________________________________ Úterý, 14.11.2006 Vít Janda Další snídaně v hotelu Irini a příprava na exkurzi v univerzitních laboratořích a na oficiální recepce. Odjeli jsme společně autobusem a nedokázali jsme si přesně představit, co nás čeká. Již z autobusu jsme si opět mohli všimnout toho, že město Heraklion prochází v posledních letech obnovou. Novostavby a nově rekonstruované domy kontrastují s ruinami a pozastavenými staveništi. Kvete především výstavba "na zelené louce", čehož příkladem jsou i nové univerzitní komplexy, které jsou těsně před dokončením. Podobně je tomu i s přibližně deset let starou moderní budovou univerzitních výzkumných laboratoří - Foundation of Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH). Zde jsme byli vlídně přijati a provedeni vybranými úseky výzkumu. Zdejší výzkum má velmi široký záběr v oborech fyziky, biologie a chemie. Po úvodní přednášce, během které jsme si mohli udělat jen stručný přehled o činnosti zdejších laboratoří, jsme navštívili jednotlivá vědecká pracoviště. Pro nás laiky byl zajímavý pohled pod pokličku výzkumu umělé inteligence, kde jsme mimo jiné obdivovali malého robota, kterého vědci učili vyhodnocovat svou lokaci a následně se rozhodovat o dalším pohybu. Dalším velmi podstatným odvětvím je zde výzkum laseru a jeho další uplatnění ve výzkumu a v praxi. Jsou zde mimo jiné vyvíjeny složité přístroje, které se používají k analýze a restaurování starých uměleckých předmětů a památek. Bylo velmi náročné orientovat se v tom, co nám zde bylo předváděno, protože veškeré informace byly složité jazykově a hlavně obsahově. Musím zmínit všudypřítomnou řeckou pohostinnost, neboť opět nebylo opomenuto občerstvení. Dalším bodem programu byla návštěva radnice a poté prefektury Heraklionu. Byli jsme přijati městským zastupitelem ve slavnostních zasedacích prostorách radnice. Zde jsme stručně představili náplň našeho projektu. Podobný průběh měla i návštěva prefektury. Odpoledne jsme se vrátili do centra, poobědvali jsme a pak jsme si udělali individuální program. S nákupy to v tom okamžiku nebylo příliš jednoduché, neboť obchody zde zpravidla zavírají kolem druhé hodiny a otevírají opět až v podvečer. Poměrně komplikovanou se ukázala být zdánlivě jednoduchá úloha nakoupit květiny pro dámy na dnešní oficiální rozlučkový večer. Ale samozřejmě jsme to zvládli. Rozlučkový večer se konal již v úterý, protože italská skupina musela bohužel již následující ráno odcestovat zpět domů. Všechny nás - mírně řečeno - překvapilo místo, do kterého jsme byli večer odvezeni automobily řeckých pedagogů. Restaurant "Maják" s vlastní stolní vodou a s vlastní značkou vína je velmi luxusním podnikem s vyhlídkou na moře, které jsme ve tmě vytušili jen dle světel v dálce projíždějících lodí. Nebudu jmenovat všechny chody, které předcházely hlavnímu pokrmu, kterým byla vařená koza servírovaná s rýží vařenou v jejím vývaru. Byl jsem nadšený jednoduchostí tohoto jídla a přitom vynikající kvalitou, i když uznávám, že to nebylo nic pro středoevropské gurmánské konzervativce. Celý večer se opět velmi vydařil. Podařilo se nám překvapit odpoledne nakoupenými tulipány, pobavili jsme se dvěma eskamotérskými čísli sympatického Mantose. Po návratu do hotelu jsme se rozloučili s italskou skupinou. S panem Dánem jsme ještě setrvali v hotelovém baru u šálku řecké kávy a pracovali jsme na webu našeho projektu a pak jsme ještě chtěli připravit pro italské studenty DVD s nasbíranými fotografiemi. Úterý pro nás skončilo kolem třetí hodiny ranní. _______________________________________________ Středa, 15.11.2006 Mgr. Radek Dén Naše mise už se :-(bohužel) chýlí ke konci, práce a „povinné“ návštěvy radnice a prefektury jsou za námi – čeká nás volný den.Můžeme si poprvé trochu přispat, i když my jdeme s Janou jako každé ráno běhat na pobřeží, tentokrát až v 8:15, což je fajn.Ostatní si trochu přispí, scházíme se na snídani. Po mírném předbalení, ke kterému každý přistupuje velmi individuálně se scházíme s našimi snědými a příjemně temperamentními řeckými hostiteli dole v lobby a v 11:00 vyrážíme do akvária, asi tak 15 km východně (nebo západně?) od Heraklionu. Dorážíme na místo a okamžitě bez domluvy se spontánně ženem k moři. Je bezvadné počasí, svítí sluníčko, 25 °C, mírný příjemný vánek od moře…je jen otázka času, kdy někoho napadne vytáhnout foťák… Sbírám pár oblázků pro syna, Vítek má mnohem duchaplnější činnost – zaměřuje se na fosílie mořských živočichů. Akvárium je moc pěkné, tak akorát dlouhé, Vítek filmuje o sto šest, všechny nás fascinuje barevnost a pestrost podmořského života – hitem jsou především žraloci, murény, kanice a mořští koníci. Následuje oběd, vypadá to, že majitel restaurace na pobřeží, kde kotvíme musel nejprve vyrazit na nákup, popřípadě na lov, poněvadž mu příprava neskutečně trvá. Když nám pak donese velkou mísu obloženou všemi možnými dobrotami, salát a a opečené brambory, odpouštíme mu (alespoň tedy já ano). Řečtí kolegové nás v rámci oběda učí pít tzv. Ouzo, což je velmi osobitý středně alkoholický drink s výraznou chutí lékořice (pendrek, brrr!). Nalejou půl deci do štíhlé vyšší sklenice, a…….nemůžu uvěřit tomu, co vidím…… dolejvají to vodou!!! Po prvním loku se na sebe s Vítkem podíváme a je jasné, že naše mozky se shodně intenzivně zabývají vymýšlením zdvořilého sdělení, že tohle „fakt nemusíme“ – rakie je rakie. Ostatní členové naší výpravy jsou však s ochutnávkou pendreku celkem spokojeni – no proti gustu…. „No a co teď?“, ptá se Manos s Marií, máte nějaký plány? „Jdeme nakupovat,“culíme se s Vítkem,“zatím jsme toho moc nestihli…“ „Didn´t we tell you the shops are closed on Wednesday…?“ Trochu nám všem tuhnou rysy, ale nakonec to „kousnem“…co nám ostatně jiného zbývá. Je půl druhé a my se vracíme zpět – celou cestu na sebe děláme z aut opičky a holky, jedoucí s kolegou Manthosem, do toho navíc tancujou. Po dvou až tří hodinové procházce uličkami nezvykle klidného Heraklionu, jsme už trochu ucouraní a chceme jít na kafe. Sraz je v 5 před radnicí. 5:15 pouze Vítek, Honza Foustka a já….5:20,….5:30 nic – říkáme si, dámy asi nakupují a zapoměly na čas. Vítek vytahuje telefon a zjišťuje, že holky sraz vzdaly a už si dávají sprchu na hotelu – zrádkyně! Čistě pánská společnost se tedy vydává směrem z centra na sever k pobřeží, kde „tušíme“ příjemnou kavárnu. Cestou dost fotíme, úplně nás pohlcuje krása pravoslavných kostelů. Nemám stativ, tak se v každém kostele plazím po zemi (ačkoliv jsem ateista, vypadá to velmi zbožně), pokládám foťák na studenou podlahu a podpírám ho obalem, aby mířil na oltář. Konzultace s Vítkem, velká clona kvůli hloubce ostrosti, závěrka otevřená na 15 vteřin, nastavená samospoušť a je to!Bezva záběr na to jaká je tu tma..! Kavárna je velmi příjemná, jsme tu sami a z tabule za asistence neméně příjemné číšnice luštíme řecké hieroglyfy, zcela jistě znamenající kávu tak a onak. Volíme (již poněkolikáté během pobytu) Greek coffee, něco jako turek, ale ohřívané v džezvě, s mnohem bohatší chutí a s minimem logru. Koukáme z Vítkem z okna ven a příjemně mlčíme, zatímco Honza si fotí krásné starožitné hodiny u dveří kavárny… Po několika dnech zas večeříme ve fast foodu. Je něco kolem půl osmé, sedíme venku, už je dost chladno. Dáváme si kuřecí pita gyros a špíz suvlaki, pijem colu a sodovku. Přestože Vítek se Sandrou a Marianou vtipkují, cítím, že naši skupinu ovládla lehká melancholie – zítra už frčíme. Ještě je ale před námi poslední večer – jdeme s Řeky do klubu! Přestože je středa, je plno – takže jsme vděční za 2 vysoké stolky poblíž zadního baru. Nikomu nevadí, že je to jen „na stojáka“, rychle vytváříme dva řecko-české hrozny a hned od začátku se celkem bavíme. Tohle je evidentně to nejlepší, co tu v Heraklionu mají, vypadá to tu dost nóbl, ale žádné snobství z chování lidí necítíme. Objednáváme si pití, muzika šlape a Sandra to(zatím na místě) pomalu „rozbaluje“. Už nějakou dobu jsem věděl, že Sandra ráda tancuje, ale to, co předvádí v tuto chvíli prostě nemá obdoby. Její nepřetržitý dvouhodinový tanec, v rámci něhož zatáhne na parket (který si sama vytváří) a naučí svým kouskům postupně téměř všechny Řeky a Řekyně z projektu, Janu, Vítka, mě a strhne na sebe pozornost minimálně třetiny obrovského honosného klubu, je pro nás pro všechny nezapomenutelný zážitek. Tenhle večer prostě patří Sandře :-). Ve 3:27 finišujem s balením před odletem. Ale to už je vlastně čtvrtek, to už někomu lezu do zelí…Středa byla dlouhá a byla fajn. Withdrawal of the Spanish schoolOnly last week we were informed by our partner school from Tenerife that they are giving up the project for this school year due to necessary changes linked with the change of the status of the school from solely Spanish to Spanish – British bilingual school. These changes prezent a lot of extra work, maily paper work for the whole start of the school, which used to be a very small one, as you all know.It is much to our regret that our friends from Tenerife cannot take part in the project this year and we are hopeful that the next and as well last year of our project, they will be back with us again.
