COMENIUS - PROJECT

The main aim of the project is to get to know cultural heritage, customs, local customs and everyday life in partner countries not only by the students and teachers but also by the local community.
The project will enable all participants to exchange experiences, explore different aspects of European cultural, social and economic diversity, increase our general knowledge and learn to understand and respect other views.
This learning process will, we believe, enhance the personal development of the students involved and lead to greater understanding and appreciation of our own culture and other cultures.

The project is intended to last three years and it will focus on the following areas:

• Regional culture (1st year)
• Eminent local personalities (2nd year)
• Regional and religious holiday celebration in partner countries (3rd year)

All teachers, students and parents of the schools involved in the project will participate actively in all phases of the project. They will deepen their knowledge concerning the areas mentioned above.
They will not only learn tolerance and the respect for other countries but will also improve English language skills as the main language of communication.
They will also have an opportunity to learn native languages of partner countries.
All partner schools will disseminate the results, experiences and the end products of the project (film, brochures, publications etc.) on the respective web-sites, in press and then send them to partner schools.
